The 36th hexagram of the I Ching: Ming Yi
“Ming” represents brightness, and can also be understood as talent and wisdom.
“夷” means to be injured or suppressed.
Therefore, the "Mingyi Hexagram" means: the light is injured.
In the workplace, it's possible to have talent but be placed in an environment where it's not suitable to utilize it.
Being too sharp and outspoken will only make you a target everywhere.
At this point, a direct confrontation would only result in greater losses.
The Mingyi hexagram teaches us the following:
– First, conceal your sharpness
– Protect yourself
– Waiting for a more suitable opportunity.
When things are not going well, keeping a low profile is a form of wisdom.
Living longer is more important than winning a short-term victory.
Temporarily step back, protect your strength, and wait for the right opportunity.
If you're asking about your health, pay close attention to your heart and eyes. Also, don't forget to get plenty of rest.
