What do I need to prepare?
- Date of birth (either Gregorian or Lunar calendar)
- Time of birth (as accurate as possible to the minute; preferably if it's on the birth certificate).
- Place of birth (city and country)
- gender
- I suggest you write down the questions you most want to ask, and then sort them by importance.
If someone was born abroad, how is the birth date calculated?
useThe local time at the place of birthThis refers to the time on your birth certificate, which doesn't need to be converted to other time zones. Our school of thought uses local time for birth charts; true solar time is only for reference, such as when your birth time falls exactly between two time zones. If daylight saving time was observed at the time of your birth, or if you are unsure of the time and location, please inform us when you book your appointment.
What if you don't know your exact birth time?
It's possible to perform a reading without the birth time, but the accuracy will be lower. Without the hour pillar, the Bazi chart only has six characters (year, month, and day pillars), and only the information reflected by these six characters can be seen; the content represented by the hour pillar is not available. Therefore, it's recommended to ask family members or find a birth certificate to confirm the time before making an appointment for a more complete reading.
What can I ask during a consultation?
Common questions include: career direction and timing for job changes, entrepreneurship and partnerships, financial rhythm, relationships and marriage, parent-child relationships, and the overall rhythm of the year (e.g., 2027, the Dingwei year). Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) is a traditional Chinese method for understanding personal traits and time rhythms. Consultation helps you understand the chart clearly before discussing the next steps.
What platform should I use?
Zoom is the most commonly used, but WhatsApp video calls, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or WeChat are also acceptable. You can be located in Singapore, Malaysia, or other countries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a difference between online and face-to-face Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) consultations?
A: The Eight Characters (Ba Zi) are calculated using birth information, so you don't need to see the person in person. Therefore, the content is the same online as in-person. The advantage of online is that you don't have to travel back and forth, and you can review the written report at your own pace.
Q: Is it absolutely necessary to know the exact time of birth?
A: An accurate birth time will make the birth chart more complete. We can still consult without the birth time, but the accuracy will be lower; we will only be able to see the year, month, and day pillars (six characters in total). We recommend trying to find your birth certificate or ask a family member. If you are unsure, please tell us when you make the appointment.
Q: If I was born abroad, do I need to convert the time zone?
A: No need. Just use the local time at the time of birth. Our school of thought uses local time for chart calculation; true solar time is only for reference.
Q: Can I ask questions in English?
A: Yes. Consultations can be conducted in Chinese or English. Please tell us your preferred language when you make an appointment.
Q: What's the difference between a free online Bazi calculator and a live consultation?
A: The calculator will display the Four Pillars of Destiny and some analysis. A live consultation involves a consultant interpreting your chart based on your specific situation, clarifying your questions, explaining the reasoning, and answering follow-up questions. You can use our free Bazi calculator to look at your Four Pillars of Destiny before deciding whether to consult a professional.
Q: Can the outcome be guaranteed by the Eight Characters (Ba Zi)?
A: No. The Eight Characters (Ba Zi) are a traditional Chinese method for reflecting on personal traits and the rhythm of time; they are not medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice, nor are they a guarantee of any outcome.
