Chinese Naming Process: Two Names Within 7 Days
A naming consultation designs name options from your Bazi chart, the meaning of the characters and their sound. The fee starts from RM 368 and includes 2 names. This page walks through the steps.
What to send
- Date of birth (solar or lunar) and the exact time of birth
- Family name, and any generation characters your family uses
- Gender, which helps with the style of the name
- Characters or meanings you want, and any to avoid
What you receive
Name options are ready within 7 days of receiving your details. The fee includes 2 names; more are added only for special requests. Each name comes with the meaning of the characters, the five-element attributes and why it suits the chart, in a PDF report that can be in Chinese or English.
Final meeting and changes
A final meeting can be arranged to go through the options. Revisions are not charged separately. A name is a thoughtful choice, not a guarantee, and naming is a traditional practice used for reflection.
Baby naming and timing
For a newborn, naming is done after birth, once the birth details are known. We do not publish registration deadlines for Singapore or Malaysia here; please check the current rules with the registration authority.
